Add New Accounts from a Linked Institution
Add newly opened accounts from an institution that is already connected to Tablewealth.
If you open a new checking account, credit card, brokerage account, loan, or other financial account at an institution that is already linked to Tablewealth, it may not appear automatically in your account list.
Use the existing institution connection to resync and select the new account.
When to use this
Use this flow when:
- The institution is already connected to Tablewealth.
- You opened a new account at that same institution.
- The new account does not appear after a normal refresh.
- You still see at least one existing account from that institution in Tablewealth.
Do not create a second connection for the same institution login unless you intentionally use a different login or profile. A duplicate connection can create duplicate accounts and make net worth, transactions, holdings, and spreadsheet syncs harder to trust.
Add the new account
- Go to Accounts.
- Open any existing account from the same institution.
- Open the Source tab.
- In Connection actions, choose Manage connection.
- Complete the provider flow.
- Select any newly available accounts when prompted.
This updates the existing institution connection, triggers a resync, and gives Tablewealth a chance to add accounts that did not show up from a standard refresh.
Depending on the connection state, the button may say Reconnect institution or Link more accounts instead. Use that button if it appears.
After the update
After the provider flow completes, return to Accounts and confirm that the new account appears.
Check:
- The account name and institution are correct.
- The balance or holding values look reasonable.
- The account is included in net worth if it should affect net worth.
- The account is included in transactions if you expect transactions to sync.
- Spreadsheet sync targets include the new account if those workbooks use selected accounts.
If the account still does not appear, the provider may not expose that account yet or may not support that account type. Contact support with the workspace, institution name, the account type you expected to add, and the date you opened the account.
